Farm to Table Dinner
Join us for an evening celebrating fresh food, sustainable living and the good people who make it possible in our community.
Dress for a summer Humboldt evening and prepare for a gustatory exploration with Chef Yana Gibuena.
Meet the chef:
Yana Gibuena is a Filipino-born, nomadic chef who started the SALO series.
The SALO series took off with a bang; 50 feasts in 52 weeks! Yana has traveled to all 50 states to share Kamayan Feasts with the entire nation. For each dinner, she sources fresh ingredients essential for a traditional Kamayan dinner and specific to the area so no two meals are alike.
Since the start of SALO, she has spread her pop-up dinners to Canada, Mexico, Columbia, and the Philippines and now to Humboldt!
Yana has been featured in the New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicles, National Geographic, and has written her own cookbook, “No Forks Given.”
