“I’m a Local, this isn’t really for me.”
While honesty can be blunt sometimes, we’re grateful for the direct feedback from the good folks who used the Humboldt Passport for the first time last year. A few people (maybe stuck in their ways) were convinced the passport wasn’t for them. As someone who has lived in the area, they already know all their favorite places and don’t divert from what they like.
That’s all well and good, so if you’re someone who hates diverting from routine and never goes to a new place, we highly recommend not getting the Humboldt Passport.
If you do however enjoy trying new things that have been vetted, well then, you might really enjoy our guide of undiscovered gems, hidden treasures and local favorites in Humboldt County.
We value businesses who prioritize local ingredients, sustainable practices, and who have a different take on “luxury.” For us, luxury is the ability to know your farmer, eat a meal that was harvested that day, or experience a master at their craft. We’re not into pushing material goods, so that’s why you’ll see mostly cafés, restaurants, dispensaries and bars in the Humboldt Passport. The experience is what is important to us, and we hope for you too.
While there are some deals to be had, the Humboldt Passport is less of a coupon book and more of a guide to experiencing Humboldt in a new way.
So whether you're Fromboldt or not, there’s something special about walking a path laid out by someone else. Follow along in the journey and rediscover this special slice of the world.
From now until the end of April, the Humboldt Passport can be pre-ordered for $15.
